Of all the cars to import from Japan, some guy in Virginia decided to ship over a Toyota Hilux Surf. I saw this in Chantilly today, rocking antique plates.
This guy gets a lot of Jalop cred.

A turbodiesel. Plus they’re probably in way better condition if you get it from Japan. The cars over there are meticulously maintained because of inspection, and the old ones are cheap (because of inspection). So yeah, wouldn’t be a terrible idea.
